  11. Am I the only one who is disgusted by this latest game in politics,
  12. thousands of citizens telephoning various people in Washington DC and
  13. registering their "vote" for or against the ban on queers in the
  14. military?

  16. I'm not saying that we shouldn't call. We don't have a choice - other
  17. folks are already playing the game, so we have to make our own calls.

  19. But what the hell? The news media are reporting the "tallies of calls
  20. for or against" like they were votes or scientific polls or something.

  22. Is this what's meant by interactive government?
