- Dumb question time.....I've been following this thread, mainly because music
- is my life. But I am not fully grasping what we are defining "Motss-orientated
- music" by. Are we looking for lyrics that "suggest" homosexuality, or are
- we looking for gay artists, or what? The previous examples are sorta mixed...
-
- Whatever the case....
-
- Freddie Mercury's solo project, "Mr. Bad Guy" is filled with songs of love
- and good natured romance...but rarely gives a clue as to who he is
- singing about. He doesn't mention a lot of "She's" or "He's". The only track
- that I know he identifies a female is "Foolin' Around", with some lyrics
- saying: "Foxy lady/ you can turn on any man you want..."
- The rest of the tracks are just out there....the only one I can think
- of off-hand that gives hints towards men, is "My Kind Of Lover" with lyrics
- that "suggest": "I wanna boogie down with ya bro'/Boogie down with the
- bassman/win love on the grand slam/I'll be there waiting when you call"
- All in all, the album is great. Classic Freddie. He does a lot of what
- he's known for doin' on stage with Queen. A lot of improv, a lot of those
- "De do de do de do da da"'s and just bangin' away at a piano. Great emotion.
