  46. The more Congress and the Pentagon threaten to block Clinton's executive
  47. order, the more immediacy the March takes on.  A major undercurrent of
  48. rage for the '87 March was the Bowers v. Hardwick decision of July '86.
  49. I was beginning to think this was going to be some kind of love-fest.  
  50. In some ways it's good that the Pentagon is kicking up such a fuss, 
  51. it will shake us out of what I see as a rapidly spreading complaisency 
  52. since Clinton won the election.  The right wing certainly isn't being 
  53. complaisent, as anyone in a targeted state can attest.  The March needs
  54. an angry edge.  There is plenty still to be angry about.

  56. Is it just me, or is the Pentagon looking amazingly childish over this
  57. whole exec order thing?  I mean, one by one all the tired fig leaves
  58. justifying the ban have been stripped away until we're left with a bunch 
  59. of insecure adolescents with a lot of guns who don't want to shower with 
  60. those icky queers.  I've always thought there were two professions 
  61. that should be banned by the Surgeon General as prolonged exposure 
  62. to them results in irreversable personality damage -- the military, and 
  63. traveling salespeople.
