  28. I haven't seen all the episodes yet, but from what I've seen (up to
  29. the father (almost) assaulting the coach and the coach being nice to
  30. the kid's mother), here's my take:

  32. The coach is gay (this has been hinted at since the beginning -- his
  33. fascination with Greeks, and a number of other subtle things), but the
  34. kid is not, at least not out to anyone, including himself.
