- Well, I don't know how relevant some of you might think this is
- - and I'm sure that *someone* will flame me for this -
- but.............
- one thing I *have* noticed is that there seems to be a lot of
- contempt for other sexual-minority (or sub-minority) groups
- i.e. people who have other sexual interests as well as their
- sexual 'base' (gay/lesbian/het/bi) from gay people.
- (I have personal experience of this)
-
- Now I know that not *everyone* is as condemning/narrow-minded
- but if gays/lesbians - who are themselves effectively a minority
- group - condemn other minorities, how the hell are they supposed
- to be able to come to terms with the other aspects of their
- sexuality? Even more so, as an example, if someone is gay
- and has a paraphiliac desire, how are they expected to cope
- or deal with their feelings if they speak to a gay friend
- and get told they are a pervert or need curing?
- (Again, this has happened to me! :-( )
-
- Any input on this will be gladly appreciated.
