- I know, you were serious... I believe that Congress is currently
- debating on whether or not to connect the Congressional e-mail system
- through a gateway to the internet. I would imagine that the white
- house is in a similar situation. The problem right now is that most
- likely the people who sort through all of the mail for 1600
- Pennsylanvia Ave., NW; Washington, DC 20500 probably aren't trained
- for e-mail, and those that are couldn't handle the potential load
- (remembering that gateways come in from popular places like Prodigy
- Compu$erve, and fidonet). Until then, the only email is via FAX at
- 202-456-2883.

- But... if you happen to come across a backdoor into the mail system,
- please share it. I love writing to my officials, but I hate the cost
- to our woodlands.
