  19. "James Taylor boycotts Colorado, will skip Telluride bluegrass fest"

  24.    James Taylor has joined the boycott of Colorado, meaning last year's
  25. headline performer at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival won't return this
  26. summer, his agent said.

  28.    Taylor will not perform in Colorado until Amendment 2 is repealed,
  29. said agent Peter Stiglin.  Stiglin predicted other scheduled acts
  30. would follow suit.

  32.    The announcement came three days after a Denver judge granted a 
  33. preliminary injunction halting the amendment from becoming law until
  34. a trial can be held.

  36.    Taylor joins stars Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand, Joan Rivers and
  37. Whoopi Goldberg in the boycott.

  39.    In a tongue-in-cheek approach to fund-raising, Boycott Colorado Inc.
  40. is selling tickets to the Boycott Ball June 27.
  41.  
  42.    The ball, however, is a non-event.  Announcements read:  "This event 
  43. will _not_ be held in the beautiful Radisson ballroom or any other 
  44. ballroom in Colorado."  A $15 contribution, however, will buy a ticket
  45. suitable for framing.
