I know normal net etiquette is to xpost in the Newsgroups: line, rather
than send separate postings to each group.  But since most of the
soc.motss->soc.bi xposts are things like conference announcements
and the above survey etc which don't expect news followups, but usually
direct mail replies, can I suggest that you post multiple copies
individually to each group?  That way, we don't get these periodic
incursions of homophobic idiots who seem to be fascinated by soc.motss
turning up on soc.bi all the time when they follow up a soc.motss
article.  By the time the thread is underway it's impossible to get
it out of our group, since few of the participants ever seem willing
to trim the Newsgroups liine...
