- I agree with Jess. Even the minority that thinks that we're ok
- people is mostly not used to having to deal with us on a more-than
- -abstract basis.

- Back when I lived in a relatively progressive college town in Illinois,
- I used to hang out at a cafe where most of the regulars are proud
- liberals who will probably sign petitions to end the ban on gays
- in the military etc etc. One day, in the cafe, I spontaneously
- frenchkissed a gay male friend. The conversation level in the cafe
- dropped audibly and the collective gasp was quite memorable...
