- Steven Levine has posted about the Lesbian and Gay Bands of America
- performance, and I have little to add, except on this specific point.
-
- We didn't march in the parade. We played (sitting) from a point on
- the side of the parade route. For this reason, we were not part
- of the parade proper and, apparently, were not covered by television.
-
- Although this sounds disappointing, it was probably best. LGBA is good
- at playing music together at short notice, and we do it often. But
- many of us are not experienced at marching in formation, and we
- probably would not have looked very good. We sounded marvelous.
-
- (We also got to see the lawn chair drill team, which was rather
- fun.)
