  26. "The Crying Game"

  28.   One of the most interesting and intriguing movies of the year
  29.   must be "The Crying Game."  ("The movie everyone is talking
  30.   about, but no one is giving away its secrets.") This Neil
  31.   Jordan written and directed opus presents a sophisticated
  32.   story, populated by a cast of well-drawn characters, that
  33.   holds the attention and fires the imagination.  Using one of
  34.   the world's longest unresolved conflicts as its backdrop --
  35.   the armed conflict in Northern Ireland -- Mr. Jordan manages
  36.   to weave a story of romance and intrigue that is both
  37.   unpredictable and believable.  Stephen Rea, Miranda Richardson
  38.   and newcomer Jaye Davidson carry the honors for this inclusive
  39.   '90s film.  That more of the story is not revealed here,
