  23.   Well, this is all nice in theory but when exactly do you
  24. suppose we will get marriage removed from state involvement,
  25. en toto? It is so intertwined in the fabric of law and society
  26. that I don't think we could even understand its extent unless
  27. we legalized it for whomever wanted to make that sort of compact.
  28.   As far as heinous statist intrusions into person liberty goes
  29. marriage isn't, at it's core, necessarily all that bad of one.
  30. (if one looks at it as a boilerplate contract with a generally
  31. agreed upon set of rules). The inequity of marriage laws is
  32. that they are exclusionary to non-het partnerships. It would
  33. be far easier to just legalize it (and probably 10e9 times
  34. more likely of happening).
