- If we want to go with the honeymoon metaphor, I'll add that
- it takes two to make a marriage or honeymoon successful.
- I've said it before and I do believe that Clinton's
- election represents the beginning of our work - the goal
- wasn't to get the man elected so that he can fix all our
- problems. He can't. What his election means to me is that
- our position is no longer hopeless: we have someone who
- appears willing to listen to us, where before we didn't.
- *Now* is the time to hunker down and get to work, whether
- that work is political action through mainstream glb
- organizations, agitation through QN, ACT-UP, etc., or
- individual letter-writing campaigns.
