  31. They're there already.  You may have meant the ash-heap of
  32. history!  :-)

  34. I think there's a sign in your charge, however, that
  35. indicates where liberal programs often err.  Not to start up
  36. another round of our perpetual gun and Second Amendment
  37. debates, but the gun issues are fundamentally different from
  38. neo-Nazism, despite a high incidence of Nazis who are
  39. members of the NRA, etc.

  41. The CFV, OCA, and other acronymic filth are not using guns
  42. to achieve their objectives.  Later they doubtless will, but
  43. we better not let them get that far.

  45. Be that as it may, a program of disarming the people is even
  46. less likely to succeed than the War on Drugs, and as I'd
  47. like actual and incipient fascism to cease being a force in
  48. this society, I think it's a mistake to conflate one's
  49. anti-gun sentiments with those worthwile objectives.

  51. The answer to fascism is to push a better program.  What the
  52. fascists have that we don't have is single-mindedness and
  53. excellent organization.  Liberals by their nature are always
  54. weak on organization.
