- Hmmm . . . there seems to have been a lot of sexism at work in the
- Zoe Baird fiasco. Some feminists have pointed out the double-standard
- in simply asking Baird about her hiring the illegal aliens. But one
- feminist has observed (on NPR, no less!) another double-standard at
- work: the Judiciariy committee, on hearing her explanation (a mother
- struggling with child-care issues) seemed to say, "A mother, struggling
- with child-care issues? that's okay: no problem!"
