  15.      I do not know the exact procedure to do this and would like
  16.  a few enlightened souls to inform/advise me on the subject of 
  17.  forming a new newsgroup.
  18.           Anyway, I would be very much interested in pushing for
  19.  a group dedicated to the discussion of S ASIAN history(which is
  20.  roughly the region encompassing India,Pakistan,Bangladesh,Sri-Lanka,
  21.  Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan and the Maldives). It would be nice if
  22.  the group could be moderated(dont know the procedure for that either).
  23.  We would be discussing different historical periods and perspectives
  24.  in south asian history. While history itself is a political subject,
  25.  it would be nice if uninformed politically motivated half truths as
  26.  we see in the "CULTURE" groups can be excluded by moderation. This 
  27.  is such that the group be dedicated to the discussion of history
  28.  alone. If the group has a goal or objective, it is to enlighten
  29.  ourselves with a better understanding od S ASIAN HISTORY thro mutual
  30.  help.
