- The people that you talked to was there "illegaly" as TOURIST. They are
- not there to help or reform the country directly. Things are better there
- because the government has eased up, they letting American tourists in
- inorder to collect the US dollars. So in a way, tourists are helping
- indirectly. So in our eyes and the native people - yes, things are
- improving lifestyles wise but not politically and may be economically. If
- ba'c va` -da?ng decide to shut the door to American tourists, this "things
- are getting better" are gonna go down the toilet. Yes, there're other
- tourists they don't have the luxury to spend like people from here. And,
- things are not going to be better without US presence in VietNam.
