  22. I know that it containes Mosques, hospitals, khanat ie motels, a souk that
  23. streatches for about a mile, I am not sure if there are palaces. I know that
  24. there are some reference books on the subject, regretably I do not know them.
  25. But I know a man who does :-] ( British Advert Line ) He has just finished a
  26. PhD in architecture from London. He was interested on the effect of Islamic
  27. Sharia on the architechture of Islamic cities. His case study was Tripoly. If
  28. you want I can get you both in contact.

  37. The situation is bad. Three factors contribute to the deteriorating state.
  38. Govenemantal neglect, There is nothing to force the people to conserve the old
  39. quarter, inhabitants ignorance of the importance of their city, and the civil
  40. war that distroyed many places, these places were restored in most ugly way to
  41. look like the rest of the modern Architecture of Concrete jungles.

  47. and see what we can do. It might take some time as you can guess I am in
