- Orthodox Judaism has changed the INTERPRETATION of the laws many times
- and it was sometimes "to suit the times." In addition, it is necessary
- to change the interpretation of the laws to take into account changes
- in secular knowledge.

- to reinterpret the laws to take into account the no longer existent
- Temple, and the clearly perceived need to modify the prescriptions and
- proscriptions to meet the times; this is even explicit. Many other
