- I'm not sure how those figures come together.
- From my school time I remeber that 1937 Germany had a population of 50+
- million. In fact I remember that figure because it was something of a
- "standing joke" in history class, that the Nazi madness of "Lebensraum"
- appeared even more ridiculous when at that time 60 million people were
- comfortably living in West Germany, i.e. 10-20% more people in 30% less
- space.

- I can only imagine that the 110 million added up on, say Aug 31st 1939.
- That means that it covered Germany, the Alsatian area, Austria, the
- Salisian areas granted to Poland after WW I, maybe even the GArman population
- of Switzerland.
