- When in Opposition, Bob Rae developed quite a few 'squeaky
- clean'-type policies which, when faced with the reality of
- government, resulted in him sticking to his guns. This lead to a
- number of "scandels" and cabinet resignations which, when
- compared to Liberal and Conservative (and SoCred) governments of
- our times, were quite petty.
-
- Bob Rae should be praised for living up to the high standards he
- set... to compare the Ontario NDP transgressions to those of
- Mulroney, Peterson, Vander Zalm, et al., are like comparing
- blemished yet still palatable apples to a crate of oranges
- flattened by a (deregulated) transport truck.
