- This is a matter for the Turks to reply, as Salonica was the name of the
- city used during the Ottoman Empire. Thessaloniki was never under Bulgarian
- rule, even though, there is a name used in Bulgaria 'Solun', but the reason
- for having a Bulgarian name is that for a long time, many Bulgarians lived
- closed and some in the city. As a matter of fact, during the 19th century,
- the biggest population of Thessaloniki (at that time Salonica) was Jewish
- and all travelers describe it as the Jewish city. I think they (the Jews,
- during the mid 19th century in Thessaloniki) were something like 2/3 from
- the 60,000 inhabitants.
-
- Nowadays I think Thessaloniki is almost entirely Greek city and one of the
- biggest and most beautiful ones, so maybe the readers will be interested to
- hear a bit more about its present.

- Absolutely agree.

-
- For "my" people, like for most of the "other" people, it is possible to
- have several boys, hence 1 of them is the first. Very simple. Goce Delchev
- had 2 sisters born before him, and 2 brothers - after him. So - Goce was
- the first male boy. From my point of view - nothing amazingly interesting.
- People had more children at that time.

-
- Absolutely. Goce Delchev hiself claimed he was Bulgarian.
