  27. Er, might I point out that France the Benelux and Germany are 
  28. significantly better off than the UK and their living standards
  29. have improved at a faster rate leaving poor old Blighty behind.

  31. I think this mught have a lot to do with how well the country is
  32. governed, (I am of course open to suggestions as to what other reasons there
  33. might be). Regardless of who gets elected in UK they end up making an 
  34. absolute dogs breakfast of the whole thing sooner or later.

  36. The labour party are just a total bunch of losers, who make a load of 
  37. promises they could not possibly keep, other than pandering to their trade 
  38. union masters.

  40. The tories under Mrs T did a lot of good things for a while (some not so 
  41. good as well might I add) but then just lost the plot.

  56. and into the market. A huge financial barrier to cross border trade in

  62. Politicians are a bunch of deviants, especially in the UK.
  63. Though not as bad as aussies. I trust them as far as I could comfortably
  64. spit a rat. Dilution of their power is generally a good thing, provided 
  65. it does not lead to excessive tiers of decision making.
