- I've been there before and I'm there again now. Both times, my
- (or rather, our) chosen solution is the same. Divide the money into
- "his", "hers", and "joint." Put as much money in the joint account
- as you need to cover essentials and some frivolities. (For instance,
- going out to dinner and movies together is done with joint money.)
- Use of the "individual" money is not accountable.

- I can see that this might be tougher to get used to when coming from
- an "all money is joint money" arrangement. I've never been in such,
- so it's quite easy to move from "mine is mine, yours is yours" to
- "yours, mine, and ours."

- But the one thing I can do without is the more-committed-than-thou
- people on the net who think that any arrangement other than full
- mingling indicates moral inferiority. Oh, can you tell this topic
- has come up before? :-}
