  15. overseas, one of the two of them might post to tell what they did.
  16. They chose a new name and both adopted it.

  18. By the way, if any of you are ever faced with a difficult decision on
  19. a name change, you should appreciate having the choice.  My sister
  20. got married in Germany and the laws there are very restrictive.
  21. Either spouse may take the name of the other, or both may keep their
  22. own.  *After* taking the name of the other, that spouse may re-insert
  23. their former name to have a hyphenated surname.

  25. Oh, and when it's time to name your baby, there are restrictions on
  26. that, too!
