- I definitely agree with you that sharing a name is an important
- reminder of being family. IMHO, it is up to the individual couple to
- decide what they consider fair. Whatever the two people agree on is
- fine. Some people want to be traditional, others don't, and some may
- choose on the basis of what the actual names are. Personally, I know
- that when my boyfriend and I commit to each other, I will be proud and
- happy to take his name as my own.
