- Friends of my solved this problem by taking the first part of her
- middle name (Heather) and the last part of his middle name (Edward)
- to create the new last name "Heathward."

- An additional question: when married couples adopt a hyphenated
- last name, do the children also carry the hyphenated name? In
- 25 years are we going to be seeing Joe Smith-Johnson--Clark-Stewards
