- Hey Welcome to the club, I used to have this problem myself.
- A couple of things I tried.....
- First I started staying in bed untill the last minute that I
- needed to get my self ready in time, this made some progress,
- my wife did on occasion start to get up first and earlier as
- she learned I wasnt be like a mother waking a child up for school
- anymore, it took her acouple of times being late and she started
- to get the message. But this was not the tottal fix, because I was still
- proding her out of bed, while I laid next to her, resetting the alarm,
- etc. So I started letting her sleep, and not waking her up at all,
- I would just get up and let the alarm go on and on, my wife could
- sleep through a nuclear explosion I'm sure. It took about a month
- but she broke her habit, and now I'm happy to say she gets up on her
- own 85% of the time. Sure not a perfect conversion but we're
- constantly making improvements. No body get me wrong I'm not
- knocking my wife, Love her to much for that, this is by far her worst
- trait, and the only one that ever botherd me, well if you discount
- that habit of kicking me in the ribs at night...Ouch :)
