  20. If you believe Metro's propaganda, we already have an ``award-winning''
  21. transit system.  I don't know what sort of award -- possibly the ``best reason
  22. for using private transportation'' award? ;-)

  24. I'd love to see a rail network, but I think they'll be buying space heaters in
  25. hell before we see a useful rail network in Seattle.  It's hard to dig a
  26. subway here, and the NIMBYs would make sure that only toy lines such as the
  27. waterfront trolley or the monorail ever get built (who else besides tourists
  28. use either???).
