  15. Hello.  I've got three submarine-related questions which I'd like answers
  16. for.  Posting to the group is fine, but you can Email if you wish.

  18. 1.  What is the shape of the tail/rudder on the 688 class and Ohio class
  19. boats?  I have a large number of pictures of these subs, and not a one
  20. shows either's rear end.  Is it a standard plus "+" configuration, or some
  21. hybrid "H" or "double H"?

  23. 2.  What material is used for the sound-deadening coating of modern boats?
  24. I have heard that sorbathane was developed for exactly this purpose.  Is
  25. this true?

  27. 3.  There are two large American Subbases with the same name - "Bangor".
  28. One is on the east coast and one is on the west coast.  Any reason for
  29. the duplicate name?  What is the history of these bases?
