- Yes. I know someone who is going through that treatment. It seems to
- work, and eliminates some of the systemic toxicity of the drug.

- I had dinner last night with someone who works for one of the AIDS Clinical
- Trial Groups, with CMV retinitis in particular. He said that there are
- still only the two drugs, and that there didn't seem to be much else coming
- down the pipeline. There are working on new deliovery methods, however.
- One is a slow-release which is implanted into the eye. It will probably
- last about a year.
