  15. Does any one have experience in fitting random data to a Gaussian distribution?
  16. A straightforward way is to formulate the problem as a NLS problem and to solve
  17. for the mean and the variance.  Can anyone comment on the speed of convergence
  18. or suggest other method(s) to solve this curve fitting problem.
