- Dear Users:
-
- I am a graduate student in applied mathematics at the University of
- Chicago and am working on finite element methods. I am interested in
- examining the propagation of acoustic waves (ultrasound) through the
- human body using numerical methods assuming CT/MRI scans of the
- geometry and density. Does anyone know of code or a mathematical
- model of such a system (second order hyperbolic PDE's with parabolic-
- energy loss)? I am interested in attempting such a model but do not wish
- to "re-invent" the wheel. Any information that you might provide
- would be *greatly* appreciated. Thank you for your time.
