- Hello, for the past few months I have been looking for information
- (formulas, ...) to calculate the efficiency of propellers for
- recreational speedboats, for diesel engines, ...
-
- The problem with the libraries is that they mostly have info
- for LARGE ships, which I know I cannot extrapolate...
-
- My question is, Does anyone know of a recent book or article that
- will contain the formulas necessary to calculate the necessary
- horsepower for an engine and the equivalent propeller required, if
- say I want a 36' boat (of different configurations) to be able
- to attain a speed of 15 knots?
-
- By the way, has anyone been able to formulate the Taylor graphs for
- propeller and ship efficiencies?
-
- Thank you in advance for your help.
