- If you meant Wood Anatomy and Structure, there are wood
- technologists/scientists in the faculty of UIUC Dept of Forestry (I know
- one personally). Syracuse (SUNY) is traditionally good at this, too.
-
- If you meant Wood Structures (as in wood structural engineering), here are
- some of the best schools in North America:
- University of British Columbia (Canada)- CE Dept
- University of New Brunswick (Canada)- Forest Eng Dept
- Washington State University (Pullman, WA)- CE Dept
- Oregon State University - Forest Products Dept
- Virginia Tech - Joint CE and Forest Prods Depts
- E-mail me if you want more info.
-
- In case you wonder, I am in Wood Structures (BSCE, MS Wood Mechanics,
- MSCE, and currently working for PhD on "Stochastic Dynamic Response of
- Wood Structures")
