- I can give you a couple of shakey leads. Milton Friedman (sp?) is the big
- privitization economist. You might use his name in a search and then look
- at his publications for references. And he talks a lot about the
- advantages of privitization in general.
-
- And you can access huge library systems through the internet. One is the
- entire University of California library system. The "Catalogue" programs
- for many of these library systems are very good too. A friend and I once
- found some publication on the use of sonic testing for lumber written by
- my friend's father in the U of Cal system. You then get the call number
- and most publications can be delivered to your local library through the
- Inter-Library Loan System.
-
- Here are some libraries you can access via Telnet though this list is
- a couple of years old:
-
- TOMUS (Boston Univ. Library) - 128.197.4.200 - library.bu.edu
-
- MELVYL (Univ. of Cal.) - melvyl.ucop.edu - 31.1.0.1 - 31.0.0.13 - 31.1.0.11
-
- CARL (Colorado) (login as carl) - nike.cair.du.edu - 130.253.1.14
-
- RLIN ($$) rlg.stanford.edu - 36.54.0.18
-
- MIRLYN (U. of Michigan) 35.1.1.6 (which host: MIRLYN)
-
- LIAS 128.118.25.13 - lias.psu.edu (use TERM to set termtype)
-
- And sometimes you can access these or other libraries through the menu
- of your local library electronic catalogue.
-
- Hope this helps.
