- A lot of work was done in the late 70s and early 80s
- in ultrasonic tomography, and ray tracing and other modeling
- methods were used a lot.
-
- Some key players were (and in some cases still are):
-
- James Greenleaf, Mayo Clinic (his lab has done some tomography recently)
- Avinash Kak, Purdue University
- James Miller, Washington University
- Paul Carson, University of Michigan
-
- Techical papers on the subject can be found in journals:
-
- Ultrasonics (I think)
- Ultrasonic Imaging
- Journal of the Acoustical Society of America
- IEEE Transactions on Sonics and Ultrasonics
- (now called IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics,
- Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control)
- Acoustical Imaging (formerly Acoustic Holography)
- Proceedings of IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium
-
- Sorry I do not have a list of specific references for you,
- but I hope this information helps.
