- my 30 g all-glass developed a leak in the middle of the night and all
- the water ran out by morning. i removed the bottom plastic strip and
- discovered that there is a 3 mm gap between the bottom plate and the
- front plate. the silicone filling this gap deteriorated causing the
- catastrophic leak. is this gap normal? how can i remove the silicone,
- i.e. is this a chemical to dissolve it, so that i can re-seal the
- tank?
