  15. I'm 6'0" and find 39" to be about right for work that doesn't require a
  16. lot of downforce, and 32" or so to be good for stuff that really requires 
  17. me to get my weight into it.

  19. Landis' "Workbench Book" suggests that the benchtop should about the same height
  20. as your palm when your hand is held at your side with the palm down.
