- I am a novice woodworker that is trying to decide what kind of sharpening
- stones to purchase. I would appreciate some wisdom from the network
- concerning waterstones and oilstones. The oilstones are a little more
- expensive; however, I have heard that they last longer. Is this true?
- Do they both give the same finish to the tools? First hand information
- from someone that has used either (or even better, both) would be very
- useful. BTW, I will be sharpening wood chisels, carving chisels, and
- hand planes.
