  13. I am a novice woodworker that is trying to decide what kind of sharpening
  14. stones to purchase.  I would appreciate some wisdom from the network
  15. concerning waterstones and oilstones.  The oilstones are a little more
  16. expensive; however, I have heard that they last longer.  Is this true?
  17. Do they both give the same finish to the tools?  First hand information
  18. from someone that has used either (or even better, both) would be very
  19. useful.  BTW, I will be sharpening wood chisels, carving chisels, and
  20. hand planes.
