- I built 2 oak plywood bookcase/cabinet units for my mother-in-law
- over the Christmas holidays. I used the plans for the plywood
- bookcase shown in Woodsmith a few years back and just adjusted
- the width of them to fit in the spots where she wanted to put them.
-
- I'm building a solid oak bookcase, armoire, and bed for my son. The
- bookcase and armoire are finished and I have the wood for the
- bed but I haven't begun gluing up the blanks for it yet. The bed
- sets
- on top of the bookcase and armoire (one on either end) to make a
- loft bed. But I made them so that when he gets older and doesn't
- want a loft bed anymore, the bookcase and the armoire can stand
- alone as regular furniture.
-
- I took the cutoffs and scraps left from bookcase and armoire and cut
- out and glued up blanks to make the cabinetmaker's tool chest shown
- in the Woodsmith issue I got last week. My wife wants to store all
- her
- craft supplies in it (she's very crafty : -)
-
- I've enjoyed this thread and hearing about what everyone is working
- on.
