  13. I was wondering what kinds of woods they use in Finland...

  15. No, just kidding.  Seriously, I am in the midst of refinishing a
  16. mahogany veneer table I fished out of the garbage, and will soon
  17. be finishing an oak blanket chest I'm making.  For both of these,
  18. I would like to simultae the finish on some "antique" dressers I
  19. have.  On both of these, it seems all the color is contained in
  20. the finish itself, rather than the wood being stained then a few
  21. coats of clear finish applied.  I would like to know, should anyone
  22. reading this know and be willing to share the information, what
  23. can be used to produce this type of finish.  Can I just buy some
  24. regular Minwax stain and mix it in with some clear varnish?  Or
  25. are there special coloring agents used for this purpose?
