- I've been using the straight-edge and circular saw technique to cut down
- sheet goods by laying the work out on 2 inch styrofoam insulation. Using one
- of the 50 inch clamp-n-tool guides, crosscuts are easy. Rips along the 8 foot
- dimension are a different story. The obvious solution is to buy one of those
- extruded aluminum guides that clamp to the work.
-
- Here's my question: Does anybody have experience with a particular brand
- or model that is compatible with using the insulation? The ones I have seen
- all require a clamp (like a C-clamp) that would interfere/chew up the
- fragile insulation.
-
- Or perhaps someone has a suggestion for a different sort of straight-edge
- that I could use with this method?
-
- Thanks,
- Tom (using Tristan's account)
