- I am trying to record some animation produced on
- my workstation(SGI 4D/VGX) but I have some problems
- trying to make a good choice of the VCR recorder.
-
- I have to choose between :
- - Sony EVO-9650-P Hi8 frame-by-frame and
- - Panasonic AG 7750 S-VHS frame-by-frame .
-
- If I choose Sony, I have to use another S-VHS recorder to
- record from Hi8 caset to S-VHS tape, because we use generally
- S-VHS tapes.
- The solution with Hi8 is cheaper than whit Panasonic.
- (I use the VCR with a Tektronix Avanzar video-interface for
- SGI and Video Composer from Wavefront).
-
- The questions are :
-
- - Which is the difference between Hi and S-VHS from the
- point of view of the video image quality ?
-
- - Do I lose to much quality of video image trying to record
- from Hi8 to S-VHS ?
-
- Any help will be very appreciated.
- Thanks.
