  13. PLEASE, no flames about using VCR+.  I can program my VCR just fine, but
  14. my convertor box does not allow programming.

  16. Has anyone else ever experienced the following problem?  Occasionally -
  17. about 10 to 20% of the time - our VCR+ skips a digit when changing the
  18. channel on our convertor (eg it will tape channel 7 instead of 37, or 1
  19. instead of 19).  The test function has never failed.  It started doing
  20. this after we had had it about 4-6 weeks.

  22. I called the 1-800 number, and they instructed me to place the VCR+
  23. directly on top of the convertor.  This helped a little - reduces the
  24. incidence of error - but it is still happening.  WHY is this happening
  25. at all?  Is there a solution?

  27. Is there anything that might be dirty that I might try cleaning?  What
  28. about battery strength - they were new batteries when I bought the VCR+,
  29. and it started failing about 4-6 weeks later.
