  11. Hi, I'm one more schmuck that doesn't read this room and doesn't know
  12. how to shop for a VCR.  I'm the kind of guy that keeps popping up in
  13. news groups like this and keeps you from getting anything meaningful
  14. done.  Yes, I have seen some kind of FAQ thingie, but I want more.

  18. I'm a bit of an audio nut.  I want HiFi.  If HiFi sound quality varies
  19. from one brand to the next, I'd like to know.  I want both audio
  20. inputs and audio outputs.

  22. I want a good picture.  I'm rarely impressed with the quality of VCR
  23. pictures.  SVHS would be nice, but I probably wont pay that much.

  25. Reliability.  Enuf said.

  27. I really don't care about special effects.  Slow motion doesn't excite
  28. me.  Sure they're fun for a while, but that dies out.

  30. Naturally, I would like to record, but I don't care about editing.

  32. VCR+  I don't want to pay for it.  I think I can manage to program the
  33. thing myself.

  35. I'm cheap.  I'd rather not spend more than $400, but may be convinced
  36. to spend up to $450.
