- Hi, I'm one more schmuck that doesn't read this room and doesn't know
- how to shop for a VCR. I'm the kind of guy that keeps popping up in
- news groups like this and keeps you from getting anything meaningful
- done. Yes, I have seen some kind of FAQ thingie, but I want more.
-
- Let me tell you what I want.
-
- I'm a bit of an audio nut. I want HiFi. If HiFi sound quality varies
- from one brand to the next, I'd like to know. I want both audio
- inputs and audio outputs.
-
- I want a good picture. I'm rarely impressed with the quality of VCR
- pictures. SVHS would be nice, but I probably wont pay that much.
-
- Reliability. Enuf said.
-
- I really don't care about special effects. Slow motion doesn't excite
- me. Sure they're fun for a while, but that dies out.
-
- Naturally, I would like to record, but I don't care about editing.
-
- VCR+ I don't want to pay for it. I think I can manage to program the
- thing myself.
-
- I'm cheap. I'd rather not spend more than $400, but may be convinced
- to spend up to $450.
-
- Replies via email would be best. I will attempt to browse the group
- for the next several days, but I miss things.
-
- Thanks for putting up with me.
