  11. I have the Fujix H80 which is a clone of the TR-81.  A couple of weeks ago I
  12. was starting to do some dubbing when I noticed the playback picture from a 
  13. tape was in black and white.  I put in another tape and it was also in black
  14. and white.  After a few minutes and after turning the power on and off,
  15. everything returned to normal and the playback picture was fine.  Yesterday
  16. I started playing a tape and it was again in black and white.  Then I switched
  17. the camcorder from "VTR" to "CAMERA" and all that can be seen in the viewfinder
  18. were wiggly lines.  This time the problem has not gone away by itself.

  20. Has anybody had any similar experiences with the TR-81 or a clone?  Does 
  21. anybody have any speculation as to what may be wrong?  Fortunately the Fujix
  22. comes with a one year parts and labor warranty so I will be taking it in for
  23. service in a few days (I purchased it in May 1992).  I will probably be taking
  24. it to EC Electronics in New York City since they seem to be the closest
  25. authorized service center around.  Has anybody had any dealings with them?
