- $4.75 for a SVHS T120 - their own 'generic' high quality

- Disclaimer: I haven't tried the Starship generic SVHS tapes.
- Has anyone and what can they report?
-
- I bought 4 tapes, 2 120s and 2 144s (they claim that the spool on the
- cartridge is large enough to hold 144 minutes of 120 minute tape
- stock). Having heard from a co-worker that VHS tapes are acceptable in
- SP SVHS mode, I recorded some material in EP. Result? About standard
- SP VHS quality to my eyes--which is what EP on a TDK-XP Pro T-120
- looks like to me. Verdict: probably some sort of real SVHS tape stock
- but I don't have the necessary equipment to confirm that.
-
- I would love if someone with the right instruments (or experience, my
- eyes have not been in this business for long) would give them a spin.
- The price is very attractive as is the 144 minute length.
-
- Thanks.
