  14. I gave my camcorder sony TR-7 (uses 8 mm tape) to my friend for recording in an
  15. imp. party (foolish me - I am convinced). He continued recording even after
  16. seeing error indication mark(which meant head clogged - needs head cleaning -
  17. as I found out later from manual). When recorded tape is played back it shows
  18. same effect as if from messed up tuning or horizontal scrolling, but if I keep
  19. on pressing reverse button while playing, I can see fairly good  picture for
  20. some fraction of time.

  22. Has any one experienced this before? Found any solution to retrieve messed up
  23. recording? Any advice from expert? Can pressing reverse button while playing
  24. recorded tape in camcorder can damage camcorder mechanism?
