- I recently purchased a SONY KV27XBR55 and I hate it. The levels of
- geometric distortion are intolerable. I even went as far as to rent a laserdisc
- that has test patterns on it and calibrate the pin cushion etc. myself since the
- repair technician was an incompetent fool.
-
- I was able to get it close, but there are still annoying bends and warps
- in the picture. As for the 32 inch set that SONY bought back from me, it was
- worse.
-
- And another thing, there customer support personnel are hideous and
- incompetent as well. It is a crime that only the SONY sets have such great color
- and overall image quality that you have to put up with the geometric errors.
-
- In addition to that, the diffraction yoke is crooked so the picture is
- tilted slightly to the right. Try to get the technician to turn the yoke and
- you'll see how many of them are afraid to touch the damn thing.
-
-
- Has anyone had a similar experince, are there any other steps I can
- take?
